Yummy Dal Poori using wheat flour | Masala poori | Dal puri | Poori recipes


Dal Puri is a delicious North Indian culinary delight, which is a perfect melange of spices, and wheat flour. The best thing about this Dal Puri recipe is that it can be prepared at home very easily. It can be served with Channa masala or Aloo masala.



Dal Puri is one of the most savoured Indian breads, and goes well with almost everything be it any Aloo Curry. To make this quick dish you just need a few easily available ingredients in place and you are done for the day.



INGREDIENTS:
Toor dal - 1/4 cup Wheat flour - 2 cups Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp Chilli powder - 1/2 tsp Salt - 1/2 tsp Few coriander leaves chopped Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp Oil for frying

HOW TO PREPARE:
1. first take a small bowl, 1/4 cup toor dal add some water and soak for 15 minutes.
2. after 15 minutes pressure cook for 2 whistles.
3. mash dal and grind into fine paste.
4. in a large bowl add cooked dal, 1/4 tsp turmeric powder, 1/2 tsp chilli powder, 1/2 tsp salt and a pinch of asafoetida.
5. now add 2 cups of wheat flour and few coriander leaves finely chopped, 1/2 tsp cumin seeds mix well
6. add water little by little to make a smooth and soft dough.
7. cover and rest for 15-20 minutes.
8. knead again
9. pinch a small size dough, dust some flour and roll the poori
10. deep fry in oil
11. finally enjoyed with channa masala or aloo masala
