An indian mawa cake that is flavored with milk, cardamom and topped with nuts. It is generally served as a snack.
A popular mawa or khoya based cake recipe, filled with mawa flavour and dry fruits topping. It makes a perfect combo with hot beverages.
INGREDIENTS:
*FOR MAWA*
1 tsp Butter
1/4 cup milk
1/2 cup milk powder*FOR CAKE BATTER*
1.5 cup Maida or All purpose flour
1/2 cup Butter
1 cup Powder Sugar
1/2 cup Curd
1 tsp Baking powder
1/2 tsp Baking soda
1/2 cup Milk
1/4 tsp Cardamom Powder
HOW TO PREPARE:
1. in a large non-stick vessel take 1 tsp butter and add ¼ cup milk
2. then add 1/2 cup milk powder
3. after 5 minutes, the mixture starts to separate from pan
4. in a large bowl, add 1/2cup butter and 1 cup powdere sugar
5. mix until fluffy
6. then 1.5 cup maida, 1 tsp baking powder and 1/2 tsp baking soda mix well using cut and fold method
7. add 1/4 cup curd and 1/2 cup milk, mix well
8. now add prepared mawa add to cake batter
9. top with chopped almonds, cashews and pista
10. heat the cooker for 5 mins of medium flame
11. after 5 mins place the mould
12. cook it on medium low flame for 50-55 mins
13. finally our mawa cake is ready
